Consolidated Shipping Agencies will be exhibiting at the first ever Ghana Pavilion at the OTC in Houston, USA from April 30th to 3rd May 2018. This year also marks the 50th edition of the OTC. The Ministry of Energy will be leading this year’s events at the OTC. The OTC is the largest oil and gas conference in the world, with over 100,000 attendees and 2500 exhibitors.
Conship recognized the need to ensure that all their Local Vendors and suppliers benefit from its approach to doing business.
To facilitate this agenda, the company organized training on Governance and Compliance at Golden Tulip Hotel, Accra on Friday 5th January, 2018. Training topics included Basic Business Management regulations, Overview of Governance and Compliance, Business Ethics, Anti-bribery and Business Sustainability.
Vendors from different industries participated and the goal was to improve their business processes and ethics to meet the international standards that Conship is working with. The Vendors were represented by key staff including some business owners. It is expected that the impact of this training will reflect on the way the Vendors conduct their business and the services they render to Conship.
The CEO of Conship - Dr. Vasnani advised all present to share what they learned with their colleagues. He also shared his vision to organize more trainings to develop the Local companies to meet international standards.

Consolidated Shipping Agencies Limited was awarded the Business Quality in Freight Forwarding & Logistics Industry Award 2016 by the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana.
Conship is excited about the New Paperless Process that goes live in September 2017.
This new process will drastically reduce the time frame for clearance at our ports and cut unnecessary costs. All stakeholders must support this new process to make it a success.
The Tema branch of the Consolidated Shipping Agencies Ltd, CONSHIP has donated medical equipment worth GHC 10,000 to the Tema General Hospital. The donation forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibilities and also to mark its 21st Anniversary in the Logistics industry. The equipment presented to the hospital included pulse oximeters, flow meters, a suction machine and wheel chairs.
Presenting the items to the hospital, the General Manager of the Tema Branch Mr. John Ayesu Oppong, explained they chose Tema General Hospital because it is a major health and as such encounters major health issues in the country and that giving back to society and the environment in which they operated brings sustainable growth and a healthy relationship.
Receiving the equipment, Dr. Kwabena Opoku Edusei, the Medical Director of the hospital expressed gratitude to CONSHIP and promised the equipment will be put into good use. He also appealed to other companies in and around Tema to come to the aid of the hospital to enhance quality health care delivery.
Consolidated Shipping Agencies Limited was awarded the International Transport Award 2017 in Madrid, Spain by the Global Trade Leaders Club.

On the 12th of May 2017, Conship embarked on its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the Western Region
Conship provided various learning materials to Ewusijoe Community Primary School in Sekondi.

Management has contracted DNV-GL to review the processes towards the certification of OHSAS 18001 (H.S.E.). This is in line with the company targets to attain international certification with local personnel and resources.
Conship opens ultra-modern Air Freight office in Accra.
Consolidated Shipping Agency (Conship) has opened an ultra modern office to serve as its Air Freight Operations Centre located in the newly constructed Swiss Port Building, Airport, Accra.
The 342sqm office, located in the north wing of the new building houses the staff of Conship’s ever growing Air Freight operations and is strategically located at the Airport to conveniently serve its customers.
In attendance at the short ceremony were Edith Dankwa, CEO of the B&FT, directors of the company, industry players including Kwabena Ofosu-Appiah, President of the Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders (GIFF), Theophilus Ahwireng, CEO of the Petroleum Commission, and several others stakeholders.
Chief Executive Officer of Conship, MacDonald Chimandas Vasnani, explained that even though the company still has its corporate head office in the Silver Star Tower, Airport Enclave, Accra, “we decided to invest and move into the Swiss Port Building.”
He noted that the company is enthralled to be in the building because “we are right in the middle of the cargo village where all the cargo action takes place.” Mr. Vasnani noted that since the establishment of the company, the biggest challenge has been about people but with training and guidance, the staff of the company are now its biggest assets.
“We have a laid-back attitude in Ghana but if you find your CEO actively involved in something you wouldn’t want to sit down so we had to build a culture and change the attitude of people. Our success has been our people. We have very loyal staff with some of them working with us for almost two decades and they are still with us and we take care of them,” he added. Mr. Vasnani noted that banks have also been helpful to Conship. “We go to them [banks] as and when we need and they have been very supportive of us especially when we need them to guarantee our tenders and contracts. We are grateful,” he said.
He added that with oil and gas here to stay, Conship is investing in the industry and creating more jobs. “We have a five-acre land in the free zones in Tema and we are looking at developing it into a logistics hub where people can come in and work.”
Conship has moved from custom clearance to freight forwarding, transportation, to logistics and currently providing onshore support at the Takoradi Port and the FPSO. With 190 direct jobs, Conship is looking at creating more due to a new contract with Tullow Ghana.
Mr. Ahwireng, the Petroleum Commission boss lauded the company for been an example of how a Ghanaian company with determination and forward strategy can become a success and rub shoulders with global giants. The company has operations in Takoradi, Tema, Accra and Chicago, Illinois in the United States of America (USA).
Conship participated in Local Content Conference and Exhibition in Takoradi (Atlantic Hotel) organized by the Petroleum Commission. From November 10 and 11.

Consolidated Shipping Agencies Limited (conship) wins two awards at the Oil and Gas Ghana Awards held on Friday 28th October 2016 at the Holiday Inn Accra, Ghana. The event was held to honour industry related companies for their achievements.
The awards are the Transport and Logistics company 2016 and Outstanding Achievement Award for excellence.
